What motivates you?

April 21st, 2008 at 12:32 pm

When my sons were little I had to borrow $50.00 from my parents because we were so broke. I was so ashamed and humiliated that I promised myself that I would never ask anyone from my family or friends to lend me money again. We've come a long way since that time and worked hard to give our children a good life without spoiling them rotten. What keeps you motivated?

Don't stone me, but what motivates me is private school -- or more specifically, my desire to put Mini Me in a private school for kids with learning "differences." If not for my debt, we could easily afford it. So I'm obsessed with paying it off now.

I'm tired of the feeling that there's never enough money. It seems like no matter how much we make, it's always gone before the paycheck even gets in our hands.

We were so poor when I was a kid and my mother was alwasy so worried about paying the bills. What motivates me is NOT to become a bag lady!!

Yeah, being poor motivated me too. Who am I kidding. I'm still poor, but that's why I'm still motivated. Big Grin

Watching aging parents and their friends and realizing that we'll be there one day - and that day is not that far away.

A good night's sleep. You never get any when you are in debt.
