Not a good day :(

It hasn't been a good day today. We had an emergency meeting at work to informed us that a co-worker's daughter was killed in a car accident. I also found out today that some of my co-workers will not have a work contract. I have not heard if my contract will be renewed for next year, but it consoles me to know that at least we have some money to get by for a while. Believe it or not I worry about the people who are losing their jobs.

On another note, my dear sister, for whom I would do anything for, needs surgery in her eyes due to her diabetes. Her health plan pays 90% of her surgery but it still leaves her with a $1000 deductible. Her son, payed the start up $500 but she does not have the other $500. I told her not to worry that I will give her the rest. It's not a loan, it's a gift. I would give up all my savings for her because I know she would do it for me if the shoe was on the other foot. My neighbor had to put Lucy, his Golden Retriever, to sleep because her liver was failing and I just absolutely adored her. I would take her out for them when they went on vacation or overnight trips. She was my old Lucy girl. Frown

My sister's surgery is on Tuesday, for those of you who believe in the power of prayer, keep her in mind.

    Wow, I'm sorry about your co-worker. I can't imagine losing a child....
    I sure will keep your sister in my prayer. I'm sure everything will be just great for her.

    Oh, what a day. Hey, I've know a few people who've had surgery on their eye(s) for diabetes. There are a couple kinds of eye surgeries that are common for diabetics. The ones people I know have had are very quick, painless...and successful! Sometimes they have had to be repeated later, as the cause remains. I'm thinking your sister might be having a different kind of surgery, though, because the ones I'm thinking of were not $10,000 procedures. Anyway, I'll pray. I think she is going to be okay.

    thats sad about your neighbours dog. if you had any photos of her, you could put it in a nice picture frame as a gift for your neighbours? just a thought lol Smile best wishes.
