Yesterday I met with my supervisor to review my Professional Improvement Plan. What this means is that he/she sits down with you and discusses what your professional goals are. During this review, your supervisor will also tell you if you are recommended for employment for the next year. There are 3 recommendations; employment with increment, employment with reservations of increment or employment without increment. The good news is that I was recommended for employment with increment for the school year 2009-2010. This means that at the completion of the first day of work, I will then become a tenured teacher. That's right, 3 years and 1 day. This may sound a little funny, but I'm almost wishing my life away, I just want that first day of work in September to come and I know it's a terrible thing to say.

On a another note, my sister's eye surgery went well. She will meet again with the surgeon for a follow up and discuss the surgery on the other eye (one eye at a time). Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
