September bill is now due in August :(

I got my property tax bill for 2009-2010 and I'm officially paying over $8000 a year ($8,103 to be exact). Usually this bill comes mid-August, giving me the chance to start pay for it mid-Setpember when I'm actually working again, but no such luck this time. The bill is now due mid-August. I had to pull $2058 (quaterly amount) out of my summer fund to pay for it, as well as $2,390 to pay the credit card I charged the tuition for the 2 graduate courses I've taken this summer. So yeap, tapping into the money market account is going to be certain. Oh well!

P.S. My nephew (my sister's son), who is in boot camp in Kentucky will be stationed in Alaska at the completion of his training. A Florida boy in Alaska!

My proprety tax bill is due at the end of August and the city I live in does not/has not ever let *you* make payments. The bill is due in full. Anyone/everyone I have told that to (does not live in the same town obviously) is shocked.

Wow, that is more than my house payment for the year. I know we live in a much different area than you, but wow, that is hard to fathom.

I would have a very hard time paying that much tax each year. My property tax went from $650 the first year to over $2000 each year and I hate that!

Trying hard not to be a slave to the lenders.

Teaching my sons to be fiscally responsible by example.
