way over budget, but I don't care. It's been super hot, but I hear NJ has been insanely hot also. Going home on Wednesday.

My DS#1 is 21 years old today! I am blessed to have him in my life for he is a gentle soul. I had him a month prior to turning 21 years old. I'm proud of him; he's in college and in addition to that he takes courses in the dental field so that he can earn more money at his part-time job.
Yesterday we we went to Point Pleasant Beach with DS#2. I love it! If I ever come across a substantial amount of money, I'm buying a beach home there. We spent about $50. The entrance fee to the beach was $24 and I think we spent $25 in gas. We packed lunch items so there was no need to spend money on food. We caught a lot of traffic coming back home. After all people only have about 10 weekend in the summer before school starts again.
My DS#2 and I are leaving to Florida on Wednesday night. We are excited! The budget will be about $700 for activities and food.
My hubby and I decided to enquire about changing our W2 Forms at work in order to get more money throughout the year rather than getting a huge IRS refund in April. I want to start saving for a nice vacation and roof replacement starting September and the extra money will help fund those future plans.
Well I hope you all have a great work week. I'll stay in touch while on vacation.
My DS#2 and I will be going to Florida next Wednesday for 12 days. DS#2 is too busy with work and school and is not able to go. Hubby is also working so it's just the two of us going. I plan to take him to Magic Kingdom, Universal and a water park. The rest of the time there we'll use the pool and family get-together. I know that it's brutally hot in Florida this time of year, but this is the only time we can go and spend a little more time with the family.
The cost of the airfare was $496.80. I haven't decided what the budget will be for this trip.
It's been close to a month since the school year ended, which means no work for me until September and I'm proud to say that we have not tapped into our savings to pay any bills yet. The mortgage is paid up to October 1st and the rents from the rental property so far have covered food and the bills. I even managed to put $300 into savings and $100 towards the mortgage principal.
I should be able to get a $25 gift card from Amazon soon using my Chase reward points and I'm very close to getting another $5 amazon gift card from Swagbucks.
This is it for the financial updates. I hope everyone has a great work week.
