A quick update

June 22nd, 2014 at 06:16 pm

I sold two of my son's college textbook to Chegg.com and made $65. I will use that money for another college textbook. We usually rent the books but those two we bought from the college bookstore.

Hubby started his job earlier than anticipated and things are going good so far. It's nice not to have to tap into our savings to survive the summer months. I'm also working a summer program (half days until the end of the next month).

Have a great and frugal work week.

How much can you save by renting vs buying and reselling college textbooks? Glad things are going well!

We usually rent because it's cheaper than the resale value. College textbooks are such a rip off.

Glad things are going well for your family! We liked Chegg too - not every text was available, but most were - saved us many dollars through the years.

College textbooks are amazingly expensive! I'm so glad I'm out of that market now!

Are any textbooks available as e0book downloads? Have you sought WANTED column on CraigsList? The cost of textbooks is outrageous and they are mostly outdated or useless after graduation.
