Week #2 of 150 Days of Wellness

I am on day fourteen of no soda intake. I find myself making better choices when it comes to food but I did not exercise as much as I should of. I am controlling portions and using a small plate for dinner and absolutely no seconds. I will try my hardest to have a really good third week. I'm not giving up; the fact that I have abstained from coca~cola makes me proud of my will power. I love everything about Coke, how it tastes and especially the feel of the carbonation going down. Smile I keep reminding myself about all of the health issues in my side of the family.

    If it helps...I'm uncomfortably sitting up in a hospital bed having had ghastly heart surgery last Thursday. I had no idea I was about to have a major heart attack a week ago Sunday, two minor subsequent . I didn't think my GP was serious when he ordered me to hospital on last Tuesday's visit! I've never tested high for Blood pressure or abnormal for all the routine stuff.

    While I was in so much trouble, I lack the words and energy to describe the fear and uproar it has caused in my family and friends! Even my banker came to the hospital to see me the night before surgery to reassure me all the financial aspects has been taken care off. Crazy eh? I believe I'll be on a different regimen the rest of my life, pills, classes, exercise and more. Right this second I feel more like a Disney Animatronic, hooked to wires, walkers, 30 leads [my companion], need help] to go wee.

    Have you tried some of the carbonated/flavored water? Family Dollar has a really good brand that I like that doesn't have artificial sugar/colors. That would at least help with the carbonation craving. Smile
