My hubby managed to get a temporary job and made enough money for us to pay $1400.00 of our DS#2 community college tuition. The remaining balance came from my Chase Sapphire credit card reward ($500). That's $1900.00 that did not have to come out of the emergency fund. I am still waiting to hear on a possible France trip travel insurance reimbursement. I gotta be honest, I'm not optimistic about being reimburse; insurance companies have a way of finding loop holes to not pay.

I begin work again on September 3rd. It's been a long summer for us financially but we've managed so far. I desperately want to get back to my financial routines and hopefully begin saving despite the fact that hubby is unemployed. I also managed to find someone to exchange my left over Euros to American money. I started the 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration Fund with the Euro exchange. We have a year and half to save up the money for the BIG party. I'm overestimating the amount needed for the party just to be on the safe side.

Well, this is it for today. I hope you have a restful Sunday.

I'm glad you were able to find the money wihtout having to dip into your emergency fund!

Kudos to DH, cash flowing tuition is a terrific accomplishment and huge savings when you add in interest that accumulates over the life of a student loan.

What is the plan for 25th anniversary party?
