SAD/Update/No surplus

Well it's that time of the year in which SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is making a grand appearance and with a vengeance I should say. I've not been at work since Tuesday and the doctor gave me the rest of the week off to try to pull myself together. I just hate the effect it has on my mood. My doctor prescribed another medication. I just find it so ironic that I have such a happy-go-lucky personality but this can turn my disposition from happy to down right miserable as soon as the deep freeze comes. I am trying so hard to snap out of it and relying on my Christian faith to survive this.

Financially, things are going as expected. Some over budgets categories but also some under budget items and luck would have it, I have to reimbursed my job for the money they overpaid me. Ha, ha, I knew it!

    Sounds like it affects you strongly! I'm so sorry and empathize. It makes me feel bad both mentally and physically. Oddly, this is the first year in 15(?) 20(?) that I feel like I'm not having a problem with it. The only thing different is I've been taking B-12 for about 2.5 years now after a deficiency (That was awful in itself!) caused by a long term medicine. I'm not sure if the B-12 made the SAD better, or if it is just coincidence. I hope you find something to help.

    weirdly i used to have it where we lived. And strangely now we live in place supposedly more depressing yet I am happier than i've ever been. Part of it was how dark it got early. Part of it was the frigid cold. Part of it was being unhappy where i was.

    I know you are in the "relocation" mindset and savings time frame. Good luck. These last few years waiting to change and move is the hardest. Put your head down and keep going. I don't know if I still lived where we were if I could be doing it this winter.

    I'm so sorry! I do hope this week off can do you some good. Surround yourself with as much positivity as you can. Read a Chicken Soup for the Soul book! I'm in a place much farther south (and east) and I think my mood has been much better.

    I have heard the B12 complex vitamins are very important for the treatment of depression also.

    Have you ever had your vitamin D level checked? I had my checked about a year ago and was surprised to find out it was one of the reasons I was so tired. And most MDs don't even think to check this.
