Hi Fellow Bloggers, I'm feeling much better today. Tomorrow we are hosting family after a memorial mass for my mother-in-law. It's been nearly two years since she's been gone.I'm preparing the food and I decided to replicate some dishes my MIL used to make for special occasions. I think in all the ingredients I need will cost less than $20 since I have the bulk of it at hand.

I decided to put all of our small debts and car loan into one lump sum and pay it within 24 months. I know I'll be able to this while continuing to hoard money into savings. Hubby pretty much has the confidence in me to do what's best for our finances. I will soon create a thicker to document the progress and eventually mark the payoff. I'm also considering getting rid of some credit cards and keeping the AMEX and the United Airlines Visa credit card. It's getting too difficult to juggle and keep track of all the credit cards we have.

This summer, I decided to do research on my Dad's paternal side of the family. My grandfather passed away when my Dad was 8 years old and my "American" side it's pretty much a blur for all of us. My grandfather was an American soldier stationed in a US territory in the Caribbean. I'm blowing some my summer fun money on getting a subscription to Ancestry.com and I'm thinking of getting the Ethnicity DNA on the same site (maybe I'll ask for it as a Mother's Day gift). I know some of my paternal grandmother's family is from the Canary Islands. Oh boy...lots to find out.

Well, that's all of the updates I have for you. I hope you all have a great and frugal weekend. I'm leaving on vacation next week. Smile
