April recap

April 30th, 2016 at 06:44 am

The month of April turned out to be a pretty descent one. Aside from an unexpected vet bill, things went according to plan. Today I will close the monthly expenses with more dog expenses-a grooming bill and dog food purchase. Dog expenses are part of being a responsible pet owner and the joy Leo brings into our lives far exceeds the cost of his care. I just freaking love him.

We are now at close to 54% of our savings goals and I have four more regular paychecks until summer break. By then, I hope to bring the household savings up to the 60% mark. A hefty $2,200 quarterly property taxes is due by May 10th. The price we must pay by living in HCOL state.

On another note, this is the last week of Spring semester for DS#2, which means that as of May 6th, he will only have one more college semester left. One more tuition payment and we will be free as birds!

Well...that's it for today. Have a great weekend and a good and frugal work week.

P.S. My thoughts and prayers are with Amber. Frown
