We have survived this hot and humid summer with no AC, just running fans in the bedrooms and kitchen, but this past week had us wishing for central air.

On some financial news...I went on our town's website to print out our property tax bill and so happens that the new tax bill is already posted. I could not believe my eyes! Our property taxes went down $2,200.00 with the new assessment. It was like hitting the lottery!
I'm also making the last college tuition payment at the end of the month; super excited about it!

    Very exciting!

I too have been challenged by having no AC this week. Hoping to be able to put up my window units tonight!

Wow! That is impressive: not using AC!

And the lower property taxes are impressive too!!

You're a hardier soul than me. I hate to think about our electric bill. Congrats on the property taxes!

I'm so impressed with your huge reduction in municipal tax. We've had a large, unanticipated increase in our popular TIPPS [Tax Installments Payment Program] with city automatically withdrawing 12 equal payments to even out their income.
Terrific to be making the last college tuition payment, great gift to son.

We don't have AC but with climate change so obvious, we'll buy our next unit with AC or ensure it can be installed without too much fuss.
